Seeing my mom today (first time since her operation) was really hard. We both cried a lot at first, but things got a little better after awhile, and my dad and I even made her smile a few times. Her doctor said she's doing very well, and that she'll be released in a couple of days, but it just doesn't seem possible. One of the worst things to watch is when they have to suction the stuff that built up in her throat. She wrote on her notepad that when they release her they are going to teach her to do that for herself, which is a scary thought. I don't think I could do it.
Guess that's it for now. I'll be going back to see her again tomorrow, hopefully she'll be doing better. Thanks to all who sent good thoughts, please keep them coming!
