My 5 Favorite Running/Workout Songs of 2015

As 2015 draws to a close, I thought I'd reflect on a few of the tunes I added to my running mix (in no particular order). Yes, a few of them actually came out in 2014, but it took me time to fully appreciate/incorporate them into my workouts. Click the purple links and enjoy!

1. Pelvis Pusher by Vintage Trouble

I'm an avowed homebody, but Vintage Trouble are on my (very) short list of acts I'd make an effort to see live.

2. SOB by Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats

Starts out a bit slow, but wait until the chorus kicks in!

3. Word Crimes by Weird Al Yankovic

The only good thing to come of Robin Thick's "Blurred Lines." And who knew that grammar Nazis and workouts go so well together?

4. Shake it Off by Taylor Swift

Yes, I'm one of the people this Saturday Night Live sketch is about. It's just a fun song!

5. Aaa by They Might Be Giants

You didn't think I'd make it through the list without any TMBG did you? There were a few good workout tunes from their album Glean (and other songs they released this year), but this is probably the best one to run to. It helps that with this subject matter, it's easy to imagine someone chasing you!
